Man I am watching my coworker's marriage disintegrate out here and it is depressing. What do you even say to someone who's going through that? They split up twice before and just got back together a few weeks ago, and she told him she was leaving two days ago. So now he has to go home on Thursday to that mess. Plus he had bought the both of them tickets to go to Vegas next Monday, and that trip was all he could talk about. The day we got on the boat he made the background on his workstation a shot of Vegas. She actually got pissed that he wasn't going to take her with him after she left him. I'm only getting one side of the story, and Marc is far from perfect. It's still sad to hear that their three-year-old is getting caught in the middle. I just hope it all works out, whatever way it goes. Sorry, I know this is irrelevant to everyone but the stress of hearing and talking about it for so long has gotten to me, I needed to vent. Another day on the boat. It is kind of neat working on a boat with is own helideck, good for ramblings and I usually have it all to myself at nights. I spent half an hour up there when we sailed out of Guanabara Bay, looking at Rio. During the day you see the filth and the poverty, but to see it at night, with the lights twinkling over the water and the Cristo Redentor statue lit up, it's gorgeous. Do you ever have a moment that's so wonderful, and you hear a small voice in the back of your head telling you to take a picture, but you know it's no use? Standing there on deck with a warm breeze, I wasn't going to ruin a moment to try and capture it; sometimes you need to know that an experience is meant to be had just once, and only by you. So instead I took the time to actually look, to commit to memory the details I would usually just take a couple of pictures of and not think any more about. It was an enjoyable half hour. Every day I wake up, take care of business in the morning, nap in the afternoon after watching a classic movie heartthrob, then watch Christmas movies and britcoms with my siblings. Stuffing myself with food the entire time. Oh to live with my parents in an eternal holiday! Everyone is pretty busy but I got to see Maria and meet Frankie, they are pretty cute together. Hope everyone else is enjoying the holidays. Posted via LiveJournal app for iPhone.

It's hard to believe that Christmas is over already. I wish I could go back to the day I came home for break, time is going too quickly. Soon it'll be New Year's and I'll be back in Lawrencetown once more.
Haven't you missed my charmingly pessimistic posts?
My break has been good so far. I've tried to sleep a lot, although it doesn't always work out. I love seeing my family again, it's so great just to hang out with them. Catching up with friends is also very fun, whether while taking a trip to Hali or just going sledding. I'm hoping to see more people in the next week. And it was good to get to see Matt again.
Hope everyone is enjoying their break and can't wait to see you again.
